Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama Natural Park
Located between the provinces of Granada and Malaga, separating the Grenada Depression from the Axarquía in the province of Malaga. Mountain activities, canioning, hiking and nature experiences are available at this natural space among mediterranean pine forests, rivers and waterfalls. The scenary is highly recommended for geology and botanic lovers.
This natural park offer the possibility to enjoy a full baths complex with thermal-medicinal waters in where you can relax.
Baths still preserve medieval hot water tanks built by the Moors of the Almohade period (XIIth C.). They have been declared of cultural interest due to the historic medieval spa. These baths belong to a group of hot water springs up to 42º C all year round, with sulfate-calcium-magnesic, bicarbonated and oligometallic properties. Each spring is separated into different buildings with beautiful gardens among them. They are located in the Spa Hotel baths of Alhama.
