Salobrena’s natural surroundings make it possible to combine sea, fertile plain and mountains in accessible routes for walking or cycling. Many of these trails cross traditional farmland and tropical fruit plantations, and offer excellent spots for photography and birdwatching.

Salobrena and Motril Lower Plain Route

A gentle route along the coastline and the Motril-Salobrena plain, following traditional farm tracks. It is suitable for all ages, with stretches of asphalt and dirt tracks in good condition.

- Start and finish: Plaza de Goya (Tourist Office).
- Wetlands and reed beds near the Guadalfeo, with birdlife.
- Beaches and promenades between Salobrena and Motril.

Cliffs and Monte Almendros Route

A panoramic route combining fertile plain, rugged coast and hills with subtropical orchards. The trail follows cliffs opening onto small coves and climbs towards the residential area of Monte de los Almendros, with wide views over the coastline.

- Remains of the Camino del Moro or Camino del Gato and defensive features linked to medieval Salobrena.
- Azucarera del Guadalfeo and the district of La Caleta as a historical and scenic landmark.
- The Chaparral cliffs and small coves (depending on sea conditions).
- Almond blossom (January-February) in the dryland slopes and hills.
